Don’t let me fool you. Despite this outfit looking like it was effortlessly thrown together, I did try hard on this one.
…I know what you’re thinking. “It’s a standard jeans, t-shirt and blazer number. Don’t tell me this took that much effort.” My response to your very valid thought? You’ve obviously never tried to dress a pregnant belly.
First, finding great pregnancy jeans can be hard, especially when you’re in the market for “I bought these ripped but want you to think I’ve had these forever” boyfriend jeans, which I was. Second, none of my t-shirts fit anymore, even the too-big-so-I’ll-just-keep-these-to-sleep-in ones. While I’ve been partial to rocking a bare midriff in the past, I don’t think my current state will have quite the effect as before. So finding this shirt was a dream, albeit a very simple one, and on my “highly recommended” list if you’re a pregnant woman. (Both options are beyond cost effective. Because #babybudget.)
The blazer, black flats (similar here & here) & purse as a pop of color (similar here), though? Those were easy-breezy, whether you’re pregnant or not, and always a safe go to if you’re in the mood for throwing on a chic and stylish outfit that looks effortless. (In your case, I promise it will be.)
Thanks to Maya for the photos!

You look fabulous – love that baby belly of yours!
Don’t you love that an outfit so simple looks so chic? You look gorgeous and glowing and I just love these pictures!! It took me a few minutes to figure out where they were from, blonde moment 🙂
My “effortless” clothes are the hardest outfits for me to put together!

Your pregnancy style is always fab and I love the casual look! It is not easy to stay stylish with a growing belly, but you are doing an amazing job:)

Emily, you are going to be the coolest mom! I was also thinking, as a blogger, how fun it must be to have lots of photos of yourself pregnant. I feel like most mamas to be only have the “one” pregnant photoshoot. If even that. What joy to show your “mini me” how you dressed her before she arrived some day.
Emily you are one stylish mom-to-be! Great “effortless” look.
xoxo,
Peggy
