Sometimes, you find decor items that make you fall in love.
Other times, you love them so much that you buy them twice. It’s not often, but it does happen, and anyone who’s been there knows that when it does, that item is very unique to warrant a double purchase. This has been the case with the Anthropologie Mindra Curtains, or as I fondly think of them in our home, the unexpected detail that helps our living room really shine.
Every time someone enters our room and sees the curtains, there’s a comment that follows, typically around the lines of, “Ohh these are SO cool!”
Anthropologie Mindra Tassel Curtains
Everything about them feels unexpected and fresh.
The tassels! The colors! They add the perfect amount of whimsy to any room in which you want to embrace a little fun.
The first color pairing we bought was the Pink & Green. At first, I wasn’t sure if this would be too
“out there”, but it actually leaned into the whole room’s vibe really nicely.
Then recently, as fall kicked off, I decided that it’d be nice to tie in some deeper, jewel tones with the room to match our velvet sapphire couch and play into the cold-weather months. This is when I got the Navy & Purple version of these curtains. This combination is definitely less “Whoa!” than the pink & green, while still bringing an element of whimsy. They’re perfect!
If you’re not into bold colors, of if you think perhaps they’re a bit too much for your decor and taste, there are white and light grey curtains that could be a good fit, so be sure to check out those options.
One of the reasons why I think both options work well in our space is because our rug has a multitude of colors, mainly pinks/reds and blues, that help to bring the variations together. It’s great to be able to change up the curtains by season; the curtains have become the like the equivalent of great outfit accessory. You can mix and match, and wear it many ways, and somehow it always works!
Any Objective Watch-Outs Or Things To Note?
Glad you asked! While I clearly adore these curtains, I will say that you need to be mindful of a few things with them.
First, we’ve had ourPink & Green Anthropologie Mindra Curtains for three years now, and we’ve had a few of the tassels fall off of ours, mainly because our kids have pulled them off. I’m wary of blaming this on quality, since our kids are young and pretty much pull on/play with everything, and it should be noted that the tassels were very easy to sew back on. But it’s definitely something to note if you’re someone with young kids!
The other thing to note is that I was at first surprised by how thin the fabric is. On one hand, they’ lay very nicely and the lightweight fabric certainly plays into the fresh element the curtains bring to a room, so I can see why they’d be made the way they are. On the other hand, they’re kind of expensive (Or, at least for me they were!) so I was just expecting something thicker.
Both of these notes aren’t things that deterred me from buying my Navy & Purple versions, but in the spirit of an objective review, I thought it was worth sharing!
Overall, I would definitely recommend the Anthropologie Mindra Curtains. I love tassel curtains in our living room, and always feel happy in this room with its inviting decor. Hope this review was helpful for you!
