We all know that it’s easy to talk about things, ideas, and “One days”, but there are certain people in life who just do. It’s these people that I strive to be more like, and it’s these people who continually leave me inspired. They’re motivated, energetic, upbeat, and always ready for the next adventure that life throws their way.
I’ve been fortunate to grow up with many such people, but there is one woman in particular that excels in inspiring myself and others to see more, do more and be more. She’s my step-sister Mandy Moran, and she is truly one of the most amazing and adventurous people that I know.
Case in point: After graduation, Mandy has spent the past 3 years as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer living in Mongolia, helping to educate and provide service to those in need. She’s done countless stints with Habitat for Humanity both in the U.S and abroad. Oh, and if that’s not enough, she’s traveled to over 25 countries. Yup – you read that right – Twenty. Five.
Her accomplishments alone speak volumes for the type of person she is – she has a true passion for exploring other cultures, meeting new people and living life to the fullest. I mean, honestly, if all that isn’t inspiring, I don’t know what is.
I bring her story to you not only as a reminder to see more, do more and be more, but also because she just so happens to be applying for her dream job and could really use our help!
Here’s the scoop: Mandy’s applying to be a Chief World Explorer through a company called Jauntaroo. If she gets picked she’ll get to be an official globetrotter who will explore the globe and share her experiences as the company’s eyes and ears for an entire year. It’s the perfect job for someone like her, right?!
We all have dreams, but rarely do we have the ability to help fulfill someone else’s ambition to help others and achieve something they truly love. So, dear ITC readers, I’m asking for your help. Let’s rock the vote and help my fabulous step-sister get her dream job.
Click this link and Watch, ‘LIKE’, and share her video everyday until this Sunday. You can vote once a day, so be sure to keep coming back.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
PS – Moving, getting the new apartment in order, and wedding planning has consumed my free time over the past few weeks, but don’t think I’ve forgotten this little blog! I have a full week’s worth of posts lined up for next week, including a fun apartment DIY & fall-inspired outfit post. Can’t wait to be back in action & catch up with all your blogs too! xo
