Fact: I’m not usually a cocktail lady.
I dabble here and there, but truth be told, when given the choice between a cocktail (or any other spirit) and wine, I choose wine 90% of the time.
But every so often, a girl’s gotta change it up! Since I don’t drink cocktails often, it’s no surprise that if I am to drink a cocktail, I’m kind of a baby. Ha! I’m very particular; I really only like light drinks, I don’t want to taste *any* of the hard liquor because yuck, and I also don’t know many cocktail recipes off-hand. So! When I find a super easy drink recipe that checks all my boxes, I consider it a huge win.
Enter: This Sparkling Water Paloma recipe. It tastes refreshing and light, with lots of citruses infused, and is uncomplicated to make. Plus, I love that it hydrates while you drink it. (Hello, sparkling water!) If you’re like me and enjoy a change up from your normal go-to drink every now and then, or if you’re just into great cocktails, give this a try!
Sparkling Water Paloma Recipe
The below recipe makes one drink.
Ingredients
- Ice
- Shot of tequila. I used Lobos 1707 and it gave a really nice, light taste!
- 1 tbsp Lime Juice
- Grapefruit-flavored sparkling water
- 3-4 slices of Grapefruit
- 2-3 slices of lime
- Sea salt
Directions
- Start with ice in your cup. Combine tequila + lime juice. Pour in sparkling water so that it almost fills the cup. Squeeze in the juice of a few grapefruit + lime slices. Make sure to leave them in the drink afterwards! Adjust all ingredients to your taste and liking.
- Sprinkle a dash of salt over the top and lightly stir. Enjoy!
