If there’s one thing that every new mom needs, it’s a little relaxation in her day, even if just for a few moments. Prior to having Grace, I didn’t quite comprehend the extreme difference that my time would be comprised of. How extreme, you ask? Let’s just say that I went from always having a packed schedule to being lucky if I got dressed by 4 pm.
Now, at 6 weeks in, I know that a big majority of this change has been a part of adjusting and I’m slowly starting to resume normal “me” as I become more comfortable with balancing motherhood with it all. Most days I now have a shirt on by noon, so that’s progress! (In full disclosure, I am typing this the morning it’s going live, and no, I do not have a shirt on. Sorry neighbors!)One thing that I have been able to keep up with has been relishing the quite moments where it’s just me, myself and I. As most of my day is being drooled on by my adorable little lady (something I say with the utmost affection), these moments are often found getting ready for the day or for bed. Which, inevitably, happens in the bathroom.
As you can imagine, products that make me smile have lately become a genuine treasure in my moments of quiet time. Which is why when One Love Organics sent me Sea Salt Soak and Shave Balm, I was excited to try them out. For one, they both have a key quality that I hold at a high regard in products, and that’s that they’re made up of ethically sourced, raw materials that are certified organic. Not only that, but they smell heavenly. My favorite was the soak, because it essentially transformed my tub into a spa. (Side note – They’ll be at the A Night For Green Beauty event in Chicago on August 6! I won’t be able to make it, but if you’re in the city, definitely go so I can live vicariously through you!)
There’s nothing like a great bath to unwind, am I right? And, ladies, I think we can all agree that there’s nothing better to accentuate an adorable skirt than silky smooth legs.
Sometimes, in beauty and in life, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
