Started from the bottom, now we’re ALMOST THROUGH JANUARY. Wtf?! I’m going to let that simmer for a minute.
…Okay. Not ready for February yet. But, okay.
Now, another installment of Things That Have Charmed Me Lately. Go on and get cozy, there’s a lot of great reads over here!

Even Beyonce goes to Target. I somehow don’t feel quite as bad about my addiction now. My credit card, on the other hand….is not Beyonce’s. Ha.
Being a new mom is lonely, and that’s something we need to talk about. So, if you’re in that space and feeling alone, please know that you’re not. In fact, a while ago I wrote a post about how I learned to deal with loneliness as a mom, if you’d like to read!

21 things you didn’t know about Chinese New Year. This was an interesting read!
Did I just find the cutest, must have dress of Spring? Yes, I believe I did. Really digging this top, too.
I really loved this post about “What January Is Teaching Me.” This quote really stood out to me: “Just a reminder that Mary Oliver’s answer to her question, “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” was to stroll idly through fields noting things. The question out of context could appear to be about achieving more – it’s not.” -Jessica Faith Kantrowitz

The #1 mistake small-space decorators make. Noted!
Have you seen all the Best Picture nominees up for winning Oscars this year? I sadly haven’t seen any! First on my list is A Star Is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody.
Speaking of movies…
Our best friend Henry write and directed his own movie, called The Standoff At Sparrow Creek. (Isn’t that incredible?) It’s SO GOOD, too. Smart, intense, and visually really interesting. I was almost crying I was so proud of him after watching this. (Spoiler alert: Doug is in the movie as one of the cops!) You can watch it on iTunes, or it’s in theaters across the U.S. right now!
What do you think of this unexpected flower trend for 2019?

Book I just finished: Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. It’s seriously so good and one of those books that I think every woman should read. I really can’t recommend it enough!
We *finally* decided on a color for our sunroom! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have an idea on what it is. Going to keep it a surprise for the big reveal! 😉
With how much was going on around the holidays, I took a mini hiatus from home decorating. But I’m feeling refreshed with it all and ready to tackle all the little things that we still need to do. (Hanging artwork, ordering all our furniture, finally wrapping up the basement, etc.) For the top of our dresser, I just bought acrylic trays to help display items, and gold glass shadow boxes. Can’t wait to show you them in action!
Next vacation on the horizon: Florida in April for our yearly family trip! Doug and I are also heading to Austin for a wedding. Already eyeing lots of warm weather items!
