Made For Strutting

Want to know how you can go through the rest of winter winning at all things style? I’ve got a simple little recipe for you.
It’s easy. Pair a big, chunky sweater with chic, sassy boots. That’s it. (See, I told you it was easy!)

The greatest thing about this sweater, and cable knits in general, is that it looks stylish while still being warm and comfortable. The color is perfect when paired with black pleather leggings, statement earrings and grey suede boots that I’m so happy I purchased. I’d been looking for a pair of over-the-knee boots for a while and fell in love with these after much digging. They’re perfect and totally steal the scene every time I wear them – AKA they were made for strutting. (I don’t take wearing heels lightly, friends, so when I say these are perfect, I mean it!)

On the day that these photos were snapped it was a cold but beautiful day in which we wanted to get out of the house on the weekend. We took a stroll along the lake front and admired the stillness of it all. As much as I sometimes complain about the cold, there’s a side of me that really loves winter and the calm that it can bring.
