Exploring Boston meant dressing for the unexpected. We threw plans to the wind, tucked away our maps, and set out on foot to see all that the city had to discover. With my pink Wallis blazer thrown over a simple black shirt, jean shorts & comfortable hemp-lined shoes, I was prepped and ready for taking in every sight that the city had in store.
Among our discoveries was a cheery red fence with an odd name attached. The Barking Crab — now that’s a catchy name. Though I’m not one to judge a restaurant by its cover, its quirky exterior immediately categorized it as a “must try.” After all, I was dressed for adventure, and when its insinuated that crabs make the sound of a dog, one must find out the truth.
In its doors we found salt-water air, packed seats and the definition of “delicious”. Their New England Clam Chowder & Crab Cakes were out of this world. Perhaps in a place where crabs do bark.
Really, the point is, that anything can happen while traveling without agenda, including stumbling across the best seafood to hit your taste buds since lobsters danced.

welcome to my city! glad to hear you tried out the barking crab and enjoyed it. i am actually allergic to shellfish and don’t eat meat otherwise, but all my friends say it’s amazing food! 🙂
