As a secret to no one, Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots and I are besties.
I just find them so easy — easy to throw on and go. Easy (and ready) for any weather. Easy to bring comfort and style.
And easy? Easy is a good thing. Especially when I’m in the thick of my mornings, trying to get two toddlers ready and out the door, and also prepping for my day of work as an entrepreneur that’s constantly facing days filled with hustle and that are never the same.
I also love how they look! They bring a relaxed element to an outfit, while still looking pulled together. A very, “I’m an explorer ready to tackle the day” vibe. And with them on, you are!
Sizing and Considerations For Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots
Sizing is easy — they run true. I’m a 9 and the 9 fit perfectly. (And, that’s even with chunky camp socks. I think they know/accommodate how you’re likely to wear them!)
A few things to note about these shoes: They have a micro-fleece lining, making them very warm. I wear them in the snow while running around all the time, and have never had an issue with my feet being too cold. They’re durable and last. This is my second season in mine, and they still look brand new. (When I wipe away salt build up due to wear, that is!) They’re waterproof. Key for keeping warm! I love the other of other outdoor boots as well, but I find that ones that are waterproof are best because they don’t tend to get “soggy” like others do. They have a rubber sole, making them have good traction, which again is key for running around, especially with kids!
How To Style Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots
Here’s the thing: There’s really no one way. There are, however, some favorite ways to style them. My favorite is definitely having them layered with chunky socks, such as the J.Crew Camp Socks.
All that said, I’ve put together the below looks as the ways that I most commonly wear these stylish yet functional boots. Hopefully these can bring some inspiration on how to wear these amazing boots!
Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots Outfit Ideas
Style #1: Dress + Boots + Socks.
Grab a cozy dress, such as a sweater dress, and layer a warm scarf on top. Let the scarf hang long to compliment your dress. Wear your Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots with chunky socks. Feel free to add on a coat, such as a long parka, for an additional layer to keep you warm!
Style #2: Leggings + Chunky Sweater + Boots
This one is for the cozy, comfy days! Grab your favorite leggings and pair them with the boots. (Note: I purposefully didn’t wear chunky socks with this look to show you how these boots look without them — they still are darling!) Wear it with a warm sweater. Shown here is past season Anthro, but you can browse similar options here! For an added style element, I wore this look with a tied bandana as a scarf.
Style #3: Jeans + Cable Knit + Boots + Warm Gear
This is the style route that I most commonly go with! (You’ve seen this look over at this post!) I love these boots paired with skinny jeans and a cable knit sweater. Almost always, I layer that look with things like a cozy scarf, hat, and gloves.

Hi, this may be a silly question, but how do you have your boots tied in these photos? I’m having trouble figuring it out! Thanks!
