Can you believe 2019 is coming to a close?!
I keep looking at the calendar thinking, “WHOA what just happened?!” This year absolutely flew. Which I say every year, but this year it was especially true! HOW is it the end of December?! Time flies, as they say, and it seems every year this becomes more and more the case.
I’ll be honest: I had grand plans for these next few weeks for this little internet corner. “A Year In The Life” or “Best of 2019” round up posts, and “Ideas For New Years Eve Outfits” were plotted. A post per day, I aimed for, because I’d have kiddo help with Doug being home/the holidays in tow, and no-doubt some time to crank content out. But I’ve had a last minute change of heart for all that. I’ve decided to take some time off. Because when I sat down to continue to do, do, do, I kept thinking, “Shouldn’t I be doing with my people instead?” (Which, YOU totally are my people too, but you know what I mean!)
This season is about being together. Putting down our work and to-do’s, and prioritizing enjoying one another. So, this will be my last post of 2019!
The Charming Roundup: V9
Feels really weird to say that, actually. Grace and Joey have 2 weeks off from school, so until 2020 you can find us over here enjoying holiday parties, relaxing by the fireplace, reading books, watching movies, playing, and just letting the day take us where it will. It feels right – necessary, even – to just enjoy. I hope you are able to find the opportunity to do the same!
In the meantime, if you find yourself browsing and looking for some enjoyable reads, here’s a roundup of finds from across the web. Be sure to follow along on Instagram if you’re not already — I’ll of course be sharing lots of everyday moments over there!

Flannel sheets that are absolute HEAVEN. I love this brand because they make their sheets from 100% organic cotton, and they have practices that reflect caring about the environment like not using toxins, chlorine or formaldehyde at any point in the making of our bedlinens. Love supporting brands doing amazing things like Boll and Branch!
Home decor trends to look for in 2020. I can get behind ALL of these!
A no-bake, chocolate pomegranate tart that looks absolutely heavenly.
As you’re cozied up over the next few weeks and looking for shows to watch, consider Money Heist. Doug and I started watching it recently and love it – definitely keeps you on your toes!
In closing, I want to say thank you. Thank you for reading Isn’t That Charming – whether it’s daily, weekly, or monthly – I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. This community is amazing and you truly are my friends — YOU are the reason I love blogging. It’s been such an incredible journey over the past year — my first full year diving into entrepreneurship — and I look back on 2019 and can’t believe how much has happened! Thank you for following along with our family’s journey — from our travels, to our new home, and every day life — it’s such a joy to share here and I’m constantly inspired, challenged, and just beyond happy to have this outlet and job.
