Happy Holidays!

Sipping my morning coffee, I’m currently in my pajamas, sitting in a weathered leather chair that feels like a massive pillow, in a sunroom overlooking snow-covered trees. There’s a toy train riding along the exterior of the room that Gracie has deemed her new favorite pastime to watch while yelling, “Choo-choo!” Christmas carols are crooning quietly in the background, and though I know every lyric, they don’t seem to get old.

This time of year is one of my favorites for moments like this, and for all the visiting we’ve only just begun with family and friends. There truly is magic in the air. Just ask Gracie, who is convinced that ornaments are the next best thing since sliced bread. (Er..that may be an exaggeration as there’s not much in this world that she loves more than carbs.)
