Sweater: Halogen Relaxed V-neck Cashmere Sweater. A wardrobe staple! The relaxed fit is so comfortable and the shape makes it perfect for wearing on its own or layering. Also loving the crewneck option. | Jeans: Citizens of Humanity High-Waist Skinny Jeans. The cool grey wash is versatile and the stretch-denim makes for the ideal fit. | Necklace: Crescent pendant necklace. I wear this more than any other necklace right now – it’s the best purchase if you’re looking for something to mix and match! | Shoes: Everlane blush mules. Loving their V Slingback and Editor Slingback options right now! | Sunglasses: Kate Spade Aviators – prior season. This pair is similar and the cat eye shape of these are too good!

New month, who dis?!
RUDE hanging up on September like that, October. Girlfriend barely said hello and all of a sudden you piped in and were like, “TIME’S UP, GET OUTTA HERE.” And now I’m typing this while watching bright red leaves flutter to the ground in tandem with some rain. Humph.
That sounded like I’m complaining, but I assure you I’m not. I love this month. In fact, I almost forgot about my obligatory statement that I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. (Be honest: How many times have you heard that quote over the past few days? 5? 10? Ha!)
It’s no doubt one of the prettiest times of the year, with all the changing leaves and golden tones. So darn lovely, everywhere you go, especially in my beloved Pure Michigan. I googled “Best hikes in metro Detroit” today to prep for it all.
Unicorns and glitter aside, I’ll be honest with you and say that though I love all the colors and fall escapades, this month also cues feelings of “Holy S*#& it’s Q4” for me. A bit of anxiety starts to set in. We’re officially wrapping up the year! The start of the holiday madness! It’s basically 2019. When October comes around I always find myself wondering, “Where did the year go?” Anyone else?
Hopefully the cold will inspire a bit of slowing down. Taking it all in. Though, I’ve said that one before.
In the meantime….this Halogen cashmere sweater will be a reminder to play it cool and embrace the season’s comforts. It’s under $100, has a relaxed fit that’s super comfortable, and comes lots of lovely colors!
Next stop: a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Basic’s not so bad, after all.
