Skirt and Crop Top Combo: Free People Pretty Dayz Set. It’s so comfortable and flattering! | Sandals: Loeffler Randall Starla Sandals. They’re on the expensive side but worth it; they make an outfit! Also love this pair, which has pretty braided detailing and are under $100. | Necklaces: Crescent Moon layered with the Sophia Layered Choker. This combo has been on repeat lately. | Earrings: Sun burst front back earrings – more favorites that have been on repeat! I love their timeless style.

Whoa, guys. The past few weeks have been a total whirlwind. We were in Captiva and Fort Myers for a family vacation (A recap post coming later this week!), then Doug and the girls came with me to Orlando, where I had to work at a global conference for most of the week. (You know — one of those ones where you talk non-stop and your face hurts from smiling at the end of it all!) Then, we rushed home late last week so that we could celebrate Josephine’s first birthday together as a family at home! (Another post to come – I owe you a lot of recaps!)
All that’s so say, I’m a little behind over here. But we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes shooting lots of fun outfits, and I vow to get caught up this week on getting all the posts I want to live, so keep checking in!
In the meantime, I’m currently filing this look under one of my top 10 of all time. This Free People crop top and flowy skirt set is so pretty; I love its boho yet feminine vibe. Between the uber-light blush color, the polka dots, and the way the skirt moves with elegance, I honestly couldn’t get enough of it while in Captiva! And, it’s so flattering. You’d think that a crop top combo would be a bit intimidating to wear, but the small amount of skin that shows accentuates the smallest part of your waist, and it’s just a sliver, so it is really slimming. I seriously can’t recommend it enough, especially as the days become warmer in the Midwest!
I paired it with my Loeffler Randall Starla Sandals, which were a splurge that I made last year before our Utah trip and they’re still some of my favorites for warm weather. For accessories, I layered my gold layered choker with my newest Etsy purchase, a crescent moon necklace, which I basically didn’t remove all trip. This combo works well with everything from t-shirts and jeans to dresses!
We shot these photos while on Captiva Island after driving by and fawning over this house, which was among about 10 others that were painted pastels and bright island hues. Why can’t every house be a bright, bold color?!
