The world is crazy right now, but hopefully very soon we’ll be in the thick of summer and enjoying some time in the sunshine. Quarantined or not! So if you’re like me and have warm-weather on the brain and want to find some new suits to embrace the season with, today’s post is for you.

What To Look For In An Eco-Friendly Swimwear Brand
As with many factors when you’re talking sustainability, there’s a lot of things to consider and no real clear-cut answers.
From the research I’ve done, it’s actually somewhat unrealistic to find a swimwear brand that has suits free of petrochemical-based synthetics. This is because the materials need to be able to get wet and still perform. (Unlike cotton or crochet suits that flop and stretch when they get wet. I’d rather not flash the whole beach, thank you!)
So, the best thing to do when looking for eco-friendly swimwear is to find brand that make suits from recycled materials. It’s also important to look for brands who are manufacturing the suits in a responsible and worker-friendly environment.
Below is a roundup of my 5 favorite eco-friendly swimwear brands. I’ve provided a blurb under each brand to detail how they’re making efforts toward sustainability with swimwear. And also why you can feel good about supporting them. Not only are they focused on eco-friendly wear, but they’re also creating products that are very high quality and will last multiple swim seasons!
