I admit, I’m a summer gal at heart. There’s just something about the warm weather months that brings added…life into me. Do you know what I mean?
Despite my affinity toward all things sunshine, beach days, and “Jump in!”, I will say that a close second favorite is sweater weather. This fall was filled with them, and this past weekend delivered a few rare, 50 to 60 degree days where I swore the calendar date screaming “December” was lying. Though it’s still technically fall, once the advent calendars emerge, I consider it winter for all intents and purposes. So to be graced with such temperatures during the time of elves and North Pole chatter was very welcomed.
I feel like I talk about the weather a lot. Have you noticed that? It’s a huge factor in setting the tone (and outfits!) of my days, so it only feels appropriate to set the mood here.
So, with this warm December hiccup (which apparently has since ended, judging from the fact that I literally was blown over while walking out the door last night), I brought out the ultimate sweater weather uniform.
Allow me to break it down for ya. First, this Everlane 100% cashmere sweater is everything. (Only $100 – would make a great gift!) I opted for it in what’s becoming my signature color, soft pink, but it comes in a ton of options including black, blue, white, red and multicolored. It’s super soft and is a relaxed fit, making it perfect for layering or wearing on its own with a great pair of jeans. I paired it with one of the season’s most popular hats, this ribbed beanie faux fur pom pom hat. (One of my favorite purchases from Cyber Monday. I maaaay have bought a few of these for presents, and also one for myself. Whoops!)
Oh! And a little pop of leopard completed the look. (Another great Cyber Monday purchase!) I adore these booties because they’re the ideal heel height for someone tall like me, and their black/brown print makes them super versatile. These photos were taken while we were en route to the park – I love that they are comfortable enough to wear on a walk, and I was also able to run around with the girls easily! Chic and practical. Win/Win.
