“Someone told me there’s a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.”
There’s no better way to embody the greatness of a floral headband than with Led Zeppelin lyrics.
A girl with flowers in her hair. The thought brings to mind sun kissed freckles and sandy foot walks along the shore. AKA: My happy place.
Alas, I’m here. Last night I left the rain-filled city for a family trip to warm Palm Springs, where I’ll be soaking up the sunshine until Sunday while attempting to finagle my way into Coachella.
To those in the area – if you see a girl roaming with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair, that would be me. Ooor the thousands of other Coachella attendees. But my florals will be handmade, which takes me up a few notches on the authenticity bar. Should you want to raise a few notches too, the directions are below.
1. Gather Materials. You’ll need: Hot Glue Gun, Fake Flowers, Wire Twine, Wire Cutters
2. Loosely wrap twine around your head to measure the circumference. Cut ends accordingly.
3. Twist ends together so that your band is secure.
4. One flower at a time, hot glue the flowers to the band, overlapping the flowers as you go.
5 & 6. Once all of your base flowers are glued on, add in your accent color.

I love the look of floral headbands–but the “venue” totally has to be right to wear them. An outdoor concert, special occasion or beach vacay are perfect! I’m sure you’ll look absolutely adorable in this!
We’ll have to see pics of you wearing this!
