When I spotted this lace-infused number at a boutique in Georgetown, the first thought that ran through my mind was “It’s perfect.” The second was, “Shoot, I can’t wear a bra.” The third was, “Thank goodness I don’t really need to.” My seventh grade self would kick me for doing so, but there I was at 26, silently thanking my genes for allowing the no-bra zone to be an option.
Sometimes what was once a curse can turn into a blessing. For example, I was throwing hate-filled daggers at the downpour falling all day for threatening to dampen the night’s charity event we were attending. About 20 minutes before leaving, the rain subsided and left a stunning rainbow in its place, turning my angry thoughts toward mother nature into thankful peace offerings.
In total, the day was filled with little lessons, including the fact that sometimes a little black dress is not completed by mundane accessories underneath but rather a colorful night sky.

I LOVE this hair on you. I don’t know many women who can pull off hair this short, but you are one of the lucky ones! Love this dress too- it’s subtly sexy 😉

This is a gorgeous dress, and I’ve totally been there on the bra issue. I’ve definitely been guilty of just forgoing one for the sake of a great, backless dress.

Soooo as soon as I get home I take off my bra lately. And I will randomly try to get away with it in public too! It’s better for your health anyway 😉

First of all…HELLO hot mama!!! WOW! You look absolutely stunning! Majorly loving this entire look! And secondly, I am right there in the “bra not always necessary” club! I think it is one of the best clubs to be in 😉 XO Brynn
