The end of January always feels a bit like the middle of a marathon, doesn’t it?
It’s the thick of winter, with a long way to go until spring. Holiday decor goes from feeling cheery to a lot like clutter. Days fluctuate between cold and colder. Going anywhere feels like *effort.* (Those asterisks are my hands clapping, by the way.) Add Omicron to the mix, and let’s just say that my leggings and I are becoming one.
This time of year…and with these circumstances in particular…it’s easy to give up on getting ready. Most days, I do. But other times I remember the part of me that genuinely feels happy when I try. Hair freshly washed…a little makeup on…an outfit that makes me feel pulled together and stylish. Sometimes it just feels good to feel good, you know?

Speaking of winter whites, these jeans are the perfect color! (I can totally see these with the Schutz booties mentioned above.) I actually have this pair in a standard denim wash, and I love them.
