Is there a better way to start the day than with a casual stroll around the neighborhood? A few weekends back, Doug and I watched Webster while Liz & Dave were adventuring in Europe, and my favorite pup helped us to rediscover the joy that lives in a simple, sunny walk. I threw on some comfortable chambray tennis shoes {The ones pictured are old, but these lookalikes are adorable} with a light white dress, a favorite casual combo as of late, and headed outside with no agenda. We walked by neighborhood staples, and even discovered a few new spots, and throughout it all I kept thinking, “Why did it take a dog for me to get out here and do this?”
And with that came a promise to head outside to take walks around the neighborhood more often, dog or no dog. Because, truly, I love walks. If I had a dog of my own, I’d walk it every day. I’d be very diligent and dedicated, and would take great care of my pup. Doug wouldn’t have to worry about a thing.
…Did I mention that I’m trying to convince Doug to get a dog?

Walks around my neighborhood are my favorite!! I happen to live in a gorgeous area, so heading out for a walk with my camera is a go-to activity for me when I’m bored 🙂
