Ah, bulkiness. There’s nothing like a warm, chunky sweater, particularly on those winter mornings when you just can’t try harder than 2 minutes to get ready. But here’s the thing about those mornings: sometimes throwing on a pair of jeans to match that soft sweater aren’t an option, for sake of work or other endeavors where you don’t want to look…well, like you took 2 minutes to get ready and don’t care. AKA: You don’t want to look how you feel.
It’s a dilemma, really. But most dilemmas have solutions, and this one is no exception.
Here’s my advice: Throw on a skirt. Don’t worry if it’s too “seasonal” because the sweater will automatically “winterize” it. Just make sure it’s just as comfy as that lovely sweater of yours. Chunky, even.
What, you’re concerned about bulk on bulk? Don’t be – it’s chic when done right! (And even hides a baby bump, AmIRight?) Tuck in a side of that sweater, pair the outfit with booties, and throw on some fun earrings to round it all out.
The end result is a look that’s equal parts convenient and lovely. And you just may even look like you took 20 minutes, not 2, to get ready. #Holla!
Looking to get your shop on with end-of-season chunky sweaters? Here, here, here & here are some adorable options, and they’re all on sale! Here’s the sweater I’m wearing in the post, which is currently a steal. Also, can we talk about the amazement that is this, this and this midi-skirt? If my preggo belly wasn’t growing at the rate of a sumo-wrestler, I’d be all about them.
You can also shop some favorite chunky sweater & midi-skirt options below. (Yup, you guessed it, all on sale, because who doesn’t love that?)
