A little wild thing joined our family recently.
…And he’s got a room filled with modern safari nursery decor to celebrate it! Putting this nursery design together was equal parts fun and challenging. I’ve never done a boy’s room before, so that was fun to curate colors and items for. The challenging parts were working with a small space, and trying to seamlessly incorporate lots of hand-me-downs from Grace and Joey’s old nurseries (The crib, rocker chair, dresser, changing table, and most toys were all from his sisters.)
My favorite part is the accent wall that serves as a great focal point for the room. In my humble opinion, this nursery wall is great because is adds so much color while not being *too* much. And, speaking of color! I also love that it came together filled with boldness and personality, but it’s also bright and modern looking, which is a fun combination for a baby boy’s nursery design. Safari themed nurseries – filled with jungle animals and lots of gender neutral touches – are such a great mix of all those elements. Plus, they’re also just plain FUN! Beau’s obviously too little to comprehend it all – (or even sleep in here right now as he’s in the bassinet next to our bed!) – but one day I hope he loves his special space.
Beau’s Modern Safari Nursery Decor
A jungle themed room is so cute for any baby and kids room. After all, what little kid doesn’t love jungle animals?! It’s the type of room and design that can grow with him. One note that I think is important, is we had a lot of gender neutral items from Grace and Josephine that we were able to leverage in Beau’s room. I wasn’t necessarily thinking ahead when I bought those items, but I sure am glad in hindsight that we chose so many neutral items for their baby room designs, because we’ve been able to save a lot and re-leverage plenty!
