On February 26, a 7 pound 11 ounce lady named Colette entered the world. Doug and I were beyond excited to meet our newest niece and so we packed up our bags and traveled to Boston over the weekend to make her acquaintance. One the agenda? Not a lot, and it was wonderful. We lounged around, had fireside chats, and took turns holding the baby. Doug’s sister and her husband Jin are first time parents so it was fun to see them in action. It’s crazy to see people transition to parenthood, isn’t it? It seems like just yesterday that Caitlin announced she was pregnant and all of a sudden Colette is here. Where does the time go?
Of course, with a baby comes a nursery, and Caitlin pulled together the most adorable happy haven for Colette. My favorite touches are the butterflies dancing on the walls and the colorful continents above the changing station. I’m definitely taking notes for one day down the road. (Noo, it won’t be any time soon!) Care to take a little babyville decor tour?

I just had a similar weekend meeting my nephew who was born on the 21st! My brother also has a 2 year old daughter, so it’s really cute watching her around the new baby (but their house had definately become babyville over the past two years!) Congrats!
