Pose, walk, pose, walk back, pose, exit right. It sounds simple, but when you’ve got a crowded room staring at you, it’s hard not to revert to “deer in headlights”. Nerves aside, I waltzed down the runway in a gorgeous embroidered gown at the Anthropologie fall fashion show for their store on Southport Ave. Luckily it went off without a hitch – no deer in headlights here, and I also didn’t trip! These details alone deserve their own round of applause.
After hair and makeup (Okay, and a few glasses of champagne), things moved really fast. We got dressed, had a pep talk from the manager, and started to be called for the line up. I heard names being called out loud as everyone was put into their place, keeping a sharp ear for my own. Name after name was rolled off, and I began to worry, thinking that perhaps I was accidentally left off the lineup list.

A huge, huge thank you to Anthropologie’s Southport team for including me in this amazing opportunity! I had an absolute blast and feel so fortunate to have had this experience. Another huge thanks to my friends that came to watch the show, including my blogging buddies Maya, Kelly and Jess. You guys made me feel so special.
Cheers to fall fashion, and cheers to Anthro!
