Happy holiday week, my friends!
I really can’t believe that Christmas and New Years are almost here. This holiday season flew by, hasn’t it?! (Personally, looking back, all of 2021 did. Though…WOOF. But that’s a post for another day.)
What are your plans?! Our families are pretty big and we usually see tons of them throughout this time, but with the latest COVID surge, we’re trying our best to keep gatherings relatively small this year and are spending time with just our immediate families. (All those who are eligible are vaccinated, many are boosted, and we’ve got rapid tests on hand!) Honestly, it feels like an upgrade from last year, when the best we got were freezing outdoor Christmas walks with our parents. Even though we’re in a different place than last year (thank goodness), the limiting of who we’re seeing makes me sad, because we haven’t seen many of our extended families like our aunts, uncles and cousins in so long. *BUT.* We’re grateful for the times we *did* see them in 2021 and are hoping for lots more of it in 2022.
5 Chic Outfit Ideas For A Cozy Holiday
Anyways. (Lots on the brain, if you can’t tell.) Because we’re going to be rockin’ around the Christmas tree with smaller crews, I have limited bedazzlement plans in terms of dressing up. That said, Christmas is such a special time and I *do* love to put together outfits! So I’ll definitely be shelving the pajamas and pulling out jeans at a minimum, which is basically dressing up in 2021. (Ha!) Who knows, if I’m feeling wild and crazy I may bring out a midi skirt?!?! ALERT THE PAPARAZZI!
Below, I’ve put together a few outfit ideas to embrace a chic-but-cozy look this holiday. I’ve also lined to lots of great shopping items, because even ordering online for gift season is behind us, lots of these items are perfect for kick-starting your 2022 in style. I hope these can inspire you in some way!
Relaxed Pants + Cozy Sweater
Nothing like cozy pants + a (non-itchy!) sweater and sneakers. Winter wear at its best! Flexible enough to run around after the kids, comfortable enough to take a nap on the couch, chic enough to look like you tried. WIN, WIN, WIN.
Side note: I have found the PERFECT cozy pants in these, guys. What I love about these Saint + Sofia pants is that they’re a perfect mix of weekend-meets-work-wear. They’re not leggings, but they’re not trousers. A little bit stretchy, elastic waist band, tapered legs, and so comfortable. Pair them with…anything. Literally anything, and they look great. And they’re made from a brand that is heavily focused on sustainability!

Jeans + Block Heels + Turtleneck
You’ll be Steve Jobs, but chic. (Lulz.) Add a hat + scarf, perhaps even a great blazer, if you feel like some jazz hands are necessary!
Shop The Look // Levi’s Wedgie Icon Jeans. (Browse more Levi’s jeans options here!) + Sarah Flint Rosie Block Heels (Use code SARAHFLINT-BAISNTTHATCHARMING to get $50 (Yes, $50!!!) off your first purchase.) + J.Crew Tissue Turtleneck (THE BEST and comes in a ton of great colors) + Black Wool Fedora (Shop more stylish hat options here) + Silk Scarf – no long available, however this link has lots of pretty options!
Black Jeans + Block Heels + T-Shirt
Something about black jeans just elevates a look a bit more than standard jeans, no? And because I always love a classic t-shirt and jeans combo, that’s what I went with here too. It just works, always. Especially when you’re cozy at home! Tie a scarf around the waist, grab a belt, or pair with fun shoes to upgrade the look even more.
Shop The Look // Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans (Browse more Levi’s jeans options here!) + Sarah Flint Rosie Block Heels (Use code SARAHFLINT-BAISNTTHATCHARMING to get $50 (Yes, $50!!!) off your first purchase.) + AYR Supercool Tee (It really is super cool – the fit it my favorite of any t-shirt I own! Shop more AYR finds here.)
Maxi Skirt + Turtleneck + Sparkle Flats
I love this combination because it’s approachable yet elegant. This is the route I’ll probably go for Christmas Eve, which is usually the night we get a little more dressy. I paired my look with a classic pearl necklace and bracelet + sparkle flats because why not?!
Shop The Look // J.Crew Tissue Turtleneck (THE BEST and comes in a ton of great colors) + J.Crew Side-slit Satin Maxi Skirt (Browse more great maxi skirt options here) + LK Bennett Sparkle Flats (I also adore these similar flats from Sarah Flint! Use code SARAHFLINT-BAISNTTHATCHARMING to get $50 (Yes, $50!!!) off your first purchase.)
Chunky Sweater + Maxi Skirt
Same outfit as the prior, only this time paired with a chunky sweater. Be sure to tuck the sweater into the waistline of the skirt to help define the waist! I love this take because it’s warm and inviting, while still being elevated and chic.
Shop The Look // J.Crew Relaxed Roll-neck Sweater (Super cozy!) + J.Crew Side-slit Satin Maxi Skirt (Browse more great maxi skirt options here) + LK Bennett Sparkle Flats (I also adore these similar flats from Sarah Flint! Use code SARAHFLINT-BAISNTTHATCHARMING to get $50 (Yes, $50!!!) off your first purchase.)
