:: Have you read Bright Bazaar’s new book? I’ve been a huge fan of his blog for a long time, so when he came out with a book all about color & design I couldn’t get it fast enough. You can purchase it here – but consider this a warning – you will want to redo your entire apartment/house after you’re done indulging.
:: I’ve been invited to be a contributor over at Wedding Party, where I’ll write about tips, tricks, ideas and inspiration for planning a wedding every month. My first blog post was released this week – naturally I went the Kate Middleton route. {Have any ideas that you’d like to see written about? Send them my way and I’ll be sure to include them in the round up of contributions.} Speaking of weddings, my second shower is this weekend. I’ll be wearing the most amazing dress that I found on Etsy – follow along on Instagram for the big reveal! Here’s a little hint: It involves lots of tulle. In other personal wedding news, Dougy and I are going back on forth on a big decision: What color gingham? Decisions, decisions…
:: With the rising temperatures, I’ve been getting out of bed bright and early, motivated to start the day. I’ve been trying to work out at least 4 times a week, and I definitely think warmer weather has helped with this. It’s so much easier to get up when you’re met with sunshine. It’s even made a difference in my productivity and general mind frame. Over the winter, I tend to forget how much being outside and near the water is a happy place for me. There, you see little snippets of magic, like when a wave waved at me. Of course I always wave back.
To all the mothers out there, especially my own, you are amazing. I hope you have a weekend filled with love and lots of reminders of just how special you are. xo

There is something so amazing about seeing the water move. Glad it’s finally warm enough in the Midwest. Have a great weekend, and see you next weekend for the Madewell event!
