My Netflix Movie Recos
Guilty confession: I fall asleep during 90% of the movies I sit down to watch at night.
I’m not sure if it’s the cozy environment, or that I’m just perpetually exhausted at the end of the day, but it’s a fact of my life that if you put a movie on, I’m more than likely to start snoozing about 10 minutes in. Doug has mentioned that it’s actually impressive how easily I fall asleep during them.
…Which is all quite sad, really, because despite what my actions may tell you, I love movies! I think screenwriters, directors, producers, actors, and all that goes into creating a film are crazy impressive, and I truly adore watching the end result.
There are some exceptions to my odd habit, though. If a movie is engaging enough, I’ll stay awake even IF I’m tired.
18 Netflix Movie Recos: Perfect for Your Next Cozy Night In
I thought it’d be fun to share some of the movie recommendations that I’ve seen lately that didn’t make me fall asleep. (Ha!) If it’s on this list, it may not be an indicator of being one of “The best movies ever, ever, ever!” but it was entertaining enough to not make me close my eyes, which is certainly saying something. I love my sleep! In any case, I do recommend watching these, because isn’t entertainment the key purpose of movies in the first place? Huzzah!
But before I get into these recommendations, I want to call out one very important point about Netflix and chilling.
You’ve got to have good service. Have you ever sat down for a cozy night in, put on a movie you’ve been wanting to watch, and having it – GASP – not work? Perpetual pausing with that spinning wheel that goes on and on and on? Been there, done that, and it’s the worst. That’s why we rely on Xfinity for all our home entertainment needs. From streaming services to sports and entertainment packages, they’ve got the best offerings and service to make your home like, well, the actual movies!
One really cool fact that I learned recently is that Xfinity is increasing their internet speeds for their most popular tiers in Michigan, and 85% of users will be affected. You know what that means, right? Faster steaming & reliable movie watching. Time to get cozy this fall and winter, yall! And by the way, if you refer your friends to Xfinity, you get up to $500 in Visa Prepaid cards. It’s like winning the lotto while having a cozy night in. IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER?! I think not.
Okay. Movie recos. Let’s do this.
